Robbie has directed productions across the UK and in New Zealand.
He's particularly interested in LGBTQIA+ stories and plays with queer characters. He set up theatre company AIRLOCK to develop these new plays with a range of brilliant artists.

He's passionate about directing new writing, running Research & Development processes and supporting playwrights.

Robbie writes theatre, TV, and film with a particular interest in comedy.
He's a co-writer on Lesbian Space Crime, Pansexual Pregnant Piracy and Count Dykula at Soho Theatre.
His co-written fantasy-parody sitcom PAT IS NOT A PEASANT was longlisted for Shortcom's Sitcom competition.
His first fiction manuscript was shortlisted for the Text Prize and Penguin's WriteNow scheme.

Intimacy Coordination
Robbie was trained by Intimacy for Stage and Screen for a year, resulting in certification by them in 2020.

He has worked on intimate scenes for live performance and screen. He's particularly interested in representations of intimacy involving LGBTQIA+ characters, and the specific needs of queer performers.
